ᐅ What kind of pipe is this?

I am Peter from Chiemsee... Can someone tell me what kind of pipe this is in the picture? This is the toilet cistern in my girlfriend’s apartment, and water is constantly dripping from this pipe... That can’t be normal, right?

Well, from a distance, you really can’t tell... but it’s probably hot water... and the plug is definitely leaking...

There is no stuffing inside at all... so can I just close it up?

Wastewater? Was there once a sink with only cold water or an instant water heater? Just guessing... groping in the dark. But it looks like the paper was just crumpled up and stuffed in there.

Why not take a picture of the entire wall?
