This was available in the 1980s and was used in our building. I now want to insulate additional rooms in the same way.

The rooms are about 3 meters (10 feet) high and have drywall on the front with glass or mineral wool insulation glued behind it. The new insulation will probably be attached directly to the existing wall.

Alternatively, what is the most cost-effective and best way to insulate against noise from the neighbor?

Thank you all.

This is called a bonded panel or thermal panel, etc.

Sure, I meant more where I can order them from, like which manufacturer and preferably the product name.

Definitely not by just gluing panels... ;-)

There are good drywall elements and systems designed for sound insulation available from various manufacturers. It’s quite a technical field, but in short, it’s about decoupling and mass. Search terms like Silentboard or Sonicboard might help. Some manufacturers provide very detailed installation guides.

If you want to do it properly, however, consult a professional. The approach is fundamentally different depending on whether the sound transmits mainly through walls or ceilings. If you’re unlucky, you could waste a lot of time and money with no (or no effective) result.
