stepfelToday, we noticed that the STO ETICS façade insulation on our developer-built house is not installed according to the manufacturer’s recommendations around the window corners. Instead of cutting the panels to fit the window, wedges were cut, and in some places, there are even cross joints.
Now the question is: What to do? The manufacturer’s installation instructions are only guidelines, not a standard. Additionally, we are concerned that any corrections (removing and re-cutting the panels) might cause more damage than the incorrect installation. On top of that, since this is a developer project, our ability to intervene is limited.
What is your opinion?

Just out of interest, since I built monolithically and I'm curious. What is the disadvantage of a simple insulation that only serves the purpose of insulating?
Otherwise, all you can do is document everything and raise complaints during the inspection to see what comes of it.
