Hello,

I had a small water damage incident on Tuesday caused by a faulty heating system.
Today, a drying device was installed and is expected to run for about 2 weeks.

The worker said I can turn off the drying device overnight because it is very noisy.
Is that correct?

How are the core drill holes under the baseboard filled afterward? Or do the holes from the core drilling remain open?

Well, if the device is turned off, it won’t dry! Moisture vs. noise level. So just keep it running!!!

You can also turn it off. Then it will take a little longer. After about two weeks, someone will come and measure the moisture. If the levels are good, the device will be removed; if it is still too damp, the device will remain in place. The drill holes will be professionally sealed again.
