Hello forum members,
I’m new here and found this forum because I have a problem with my kitchen faucet. I bought it about 1.5 years ago at Ikea10 and have always cleaned it exactly as described in the care instructions—without any cleaning agents, only using a vinegar solution to remove limescale! The faucet has a steel finish, and now the coating is peeling off, which looks very unattractive.
Is it possible to exchange the faucet because this really shouldn’t happen?
I also have a second issue: I can’t find the receipt anymore, but I still have the bank statement showing the payment, since I paid for the sink and faucet by direct debit. Would that be sufficient proof of purchase? The direct debit also includes a reference number, so maybe they can access the purchase details with that?
Does anyone have experience with this?
Best regards

Hey Nayla,
first of all, thank you for getting back to me!
I’ll upload a photo next weekend since I lent my camera to a friend who went on vacation and doesn’t have his own camera but wanted to take some photos of his trip. He’ll return it next week.
But since there’s a 10-year warranty on the kitchen faucet, it’s not really urgent 😀
I’ll get back here once he’s returned my camera, so you can see what I mean by the “peeling.” It’s quite hard to describe, and I couldn’t think of another word to explain it. 🙂
Thanks again in advance!
