Schmatzrübe25 Feb 2017 19:16We live in our apartment, which was built 20 years ago.
We are just tired of the tiled floors. Unfortunately, we don’t have underfloor heating. The area is approximately 95 m² (1023 ft²).
We have already looked into it a bit – retrofitting underfloor heating is a significant financial and technical effort. Especially because the apartment on the upper floor shares the same heating circuit with radiators, which would require different supply temperatures.
Requirements:
We definitely want wood flooring (at least visually) that is relatively warm. However, we have two small children and a large dog, so it should also be resistant to scratches, etc.
We just can’t decide between the following options:
- Parquet (oak)
- Vinyl (HARO Disano – free of harmful substances, could also be installed directly over the existing tile floor)
- Cork with a wood look (e.g., from HARO)
OR
- Wood-look tiles WITH UNDERFLOOR HEATING??? :-(
or, or, or...
Can anyone give us helpful advice or suggestions, perhaps with personal experience?
THANK YOU VERY MUCH
