Hello,
is a wall thickness of 17.5 cm (7 inches) aerated concrete (load-bearing wall) sufficient for a recessed shelf in the shower with a depth of 10 cm (4 inches)?

No, no one will build that for you without structural engineering approval.

Build a support frame first. Then you can also create a storage compartment.

In our case, the storage compartment is integrated into the pre-wall (drywall construction). The supply lines for the overhead shower, etc., are also routed behind the pre-wall.
