Hello everyone,
can someone explain if there is a "best" method for connecting Fermacell gypsum fiberboards at the walls? The Fermacell brochure lists several options (see excerpt from the brochure). However, I don’t understand which method is intended for which purpose. Or can the wall joints be glued with the same adhesive used for the other joints? Or will there always be a small crack in the corners? If you then apply textured plaster, the crack will probably still appear.
Specifically in a timber frame house.
Thank you very much

Are there any recommendations for edge protection profiles specifically for window reveals to create 90° external corners? Manufacturers offer different systems: metal wrapped in paper, self-adhesive plastic strips activated by water (Aquabead), plastic strips designed to be embedded in plaster (Levelline), aluminum profiles, etc. Some require special tools to apply the plaster directly onto the profile.
What do you use or recommend? Affordability is more important than time savings.
Thank you

A few more questions:
If the drywall walls and ceiling are finished with fine plaster, is it necessary to separate the wall and ceiling with a separating tape? And how can the separating tape be cut cleanly, considering that fine plaster has a certain texture which makes it difficult to cut cleanly?
