Hello,
I have a carport. The basic frame is made of steel. Between the posts, we inserted boards vertically into U-profiles. These boards expand in winter and contract in summer, so in summer I have a gap of about 8cm (3 inches) between the board wall and the roof edge.
How can I close this gap in summer and relieve pressure in winter when the boards expand again?
Do you have any solutions or ideas?
Thanks

Are you sure that the boards contract in the summer? The boards expand slightly, while the steel frame expands significantly, which makes the boards appear to shrink.
