Hello everyone,
could someone please tell me what a soakaway trench system will cost?

We have had a hydrogeological report prepared.
Result: roof area 176m² (1895 sq ft)
We are supposed to install 2 pipe soakaway trenches at a depth of 1.5m (5 feet), each 12m (39 feet) long and spaced 2m (6.5 feet) apart.
The pipe trenches should be laid on a gravel bed with a filter fleece.

Thank you very much.

Do it yourself or hire someone?
Doing it yourself costs around 500-1000€ (approximately 540-1080 USD).
Hiring someone depends on whether you can find a contractor who does this kind of "small job" for a fair price. Or do you have a general contractor (GC) who should include it?
We paid about 3500€ (around 3780 USD) for 40 meters (130 feet) of piping in the garden, buried 1.5 to 2 meters (5 to 6.5 feet) deep, so you might be looking at 2000-3000€ (2160-3240 USD).

I received an (expensive) offer here that we did not accept:
- 3600 gross: "21 pieces of 80x80x35 cm (31.5x31.5x13.8 inches) infiltration trench" gross, including excavation, installation, etc.
- 3200 gross: "80 meters (262 feet) of DN 150 (approx. 6 inches) PVC sewer pipe, trench excavation"

Excluding disposal and sand backfill.

We are now draining through two concrete shafts, as this is permitted here and significantly cheaper.

We paid roughly the same amount, around €3000+, for our two soakaways.
