ᐅ End panel for wall cabinets

Dear forum,
I’m not an Ikea expert and I’m puzzled by the following issue.
I bought cover panels (20067589) for wall cabinets with a height of 70cm (28 inches). Why do the cover panels have a height of 76cm (30 inches) when the cabinet is only 70cm (28 inches) tall? Do I need to cut them down? Or am I missing something here?
I would really appreciate any help!

The ceiling side is raised by 6 cm (2.4 inches) to possibly install decoration or a crown molding. If you do not want this, then shorten it by about 6 cm (2.4 inches) and position the cut surface upwards.
