Hi everyone, I bought a house and have a small problem with the toilet flush that is driving me crazy.

I’ve already been to OBI, Hagebaumarkt, and even a specialty store. But the responsible department there couldn’t help me.

The toilet is a concealed cistern model from around 2002, made by Grohe, and the flush button is by Grohedal.

One of the pictures shows this red part, which I think I have identified as the "actuating lever." When I press this lever, the flush works.

The other picture shows the flush plate, the button you press to trigger the flush.

When this flush plate is installed, the flush does not activate. As you can probably see in the picture, this button isn’t able to press the actuating lever.

Now I’m wondering which part I need to properly install it again.

I’ve always been told that the flush plate does not include this part, as it belongs to the concealed flush mechanism. I was asked to find the “number” (model or part number), but unfortunately, there isn’t any number visible, so no one has been able to help me so far…

I hope someone here online might happen to have the same model and can help me.

Best regards,
Andreas

I repair my concealed installation myself. Usually, I look for a suitable repair video online and watch the explanation there.

I buy spare parts on the internet. For example, I recently purchased a small spring for the actuator plate for a low price online.

Hello

It seems to me that something is missing there to trigger the flush and to compensate for different installation depths.

Hello, the operating principle seems to be printed on the white plastic (behind the red lever).. when I zoom in, I can see a drawing there.. maybe that helps? Best regards

These are the round buttons, right?
There was this pointless system from Grohe that worked with "air pressure" – the button needs to build up some pressure. Could it be that a hose is missing?
Otherwise, there should be an exploded diagram available online...
