Hello, I have a Geberit concealed cistern. When pressing the button for the main flush, water is released. However, when pressing the button for the small flush with less water, nothing happens. What could be the cause, and can I fix it myself?

A flush tank and actuator plate are not high-tech at all. Just remove the plate and see what’s behind it. It’s basically simple mechanics made of cheap plastic parts. They can sometimes shift out of place or break.

Exactly, it’s not witchcraft.

Carefully remove the actuator plate, usually by gently sliding it upward a bit. Then you will see two rods that, when pressing the button, pull up two levers to release the bell inside the box. Water flows. Something on the side of the small button must look different compared to the side of the large button.

That’s where your problem lies.

I suspect a rod is broken, pushed out of place, or detached from the bell lever.

Wishing you a successful fix...

I agree with the previous commenter. Just open it up, and the problem will usually become obvious. Otherwise, a photo here?

All right. Take care of it tomorrow morning. All business matters are done for today.

Here is some news from my business... I removed the bell but unfortunately ordered the wrong one. Now I have to wait another 5 days.

I reinstalled the defective one.

It's really easy.
