I’d like to introduce myself with a question. I’m new here. We currently have a nice plot of land with an older house (built in 1965, but not much has been modernized—night storage heating, plumbing and electrical systems from 1965, etc.) and we are unsure whether a major renovation with an extension or a new build is the best option.
At the end of October / beginning of November, there was a report on Bavarian Broadcasting about an interesting insulating brick filled with basalt. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the report again on their website. All I remember is that the company is from Franconia and that the brick is quite new. The concept sounded promising.
Can anyone recall this and possibly help me?
