Hello everyone,
A few weeks ago, we purchased a plot of land and plan to build a single-family house here. The plot has a slope outside the buildable area. The height difference is about 4 meters (13 feet) with an inclination of roughly 40°. The soil throughout the entire building area was recently replenished because contaminated soil was removed and remediated. This means there is still no vegetation in the entire area, so the slope is not well protected against erosion.
Do you think it is absolutely necessary to do something to the slope (and if so, what) before building the house?
Best regards,
Bartosch

Simply securing the root system quickly with a planting net and plants works well. Until planting is possible, it may be necessary to cover the area with a tarp to protect against washout from rain.
Have the load from the house on the slope professionally assessed.
