Since my wife asked the same question here a few weeks ago and was apparently removed because she mentioned other platforms, I’m trying again. Hopefully, this time my wording is better...

We are looking for software (or something similar) to organize and document our house construction project as thoroughly as possible. The note-taking program from the large office suite doesn’t seem ideal because it lacks good integration with spreadsheet software and doesn’t have project management features. How have you handled this, or how are you doing it, to make sure nothing gets lost? I’m not referring to design programs for floor plans, etc.

I basically used a spreadsheet and a calendar. Everything was scanned and neatly stored in my private cloud, so I can access everything on the construction site.

In addition, I have several clipboards sorted by topic for anything I want to do offline.

I have a house blog!
The photos document everything without taking up space on the cloud or hard drive.
You can create categories and hidden pages for private content. You can also indicate the construction company involved in the blog. Our salesperson actually read it regularly, and indirectly, the building blog helped ensure that, at least from the builder’s side, everything went smoothly 😉

I have used the Office (365) product suite.
An email mailbox for communication, OneDrive for storing (and sharing) photo documentation.
Excel for cost calculation and recording invoices as an invoice ledger (invoices stored and numbered in OneDrive).
OneNote for idea collection, with a separate section for each trade.

By now, we have ecoDMS at home. Today, I would store the data (contracts, photos, invoices, etc.) there.

Thank you for the input. Office 365 with everything included is available, and my entire life is already stored on OneDrive. So it looks like it will come down to OneNote and Excel.

I even have EcoDMS. It seems I am already well prepared.

In the end, I also used a spreadsheet. I tried some online project management software solutions as well. But basically, that is like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut.
