Hello everyone,
we are currently building a single-family house in Berlin and have already done a rough electrical plan with the electrician. However, when it came to the topic of wind and sun sensors, the electrician seemed a bit surprised and wasn’t quite sure what we were talking about. The offer now only includes a central control system that raises and lowers everything together. However, I would like something more: a wind and sun sensor that measures the conditions. Based on parameters I specify, the blinds and shutters should then be controlled and possibly visualized on a central tablet or similar device.
Which system would be recommended for this?

During the planning phase we looked quite deeply into KNX and other smart home solutions. But we came to the conclusion that we do not need such a comprehensive control system. The heating runs via underfloor heating powered by geothermal energy — trying to control this further doesn’t make sense due to its inertia. Intercom systems and other door communication are also not necessary. Regarding lighting, we want to continue using conventional light switches in the future; the lights should not turn on automatically when approaching the house.
However, we are considering running a bus system or other data cabling (or even 5-core cables) to every room and every outlet, to be able to accommodate changes later on — for example, to better control a light switch.
The alarm system will probably be from Abus, wired with window contacts and a central unit in the hallway. Oh, and there is network cabling in every room, sometimes even twice.

I am mainly looking for a suitable system/product for our blinds and shutters that is also expandable for the future…

Thank you
M

Ah, I thought you were referring to two wired solutions, so I was a bit confused.

No, I never claimed that.
