Hello everyone,

We recently bought an older house and want to modernize and renovate it before moving in. Besides installing a complete network cabling system in almost all rooms, we also need to upgrade the door intercom system. Currently, there is only a doorbell, which means there is no two-way communication or remote door unlocking from inside the apartment.

Today, I gathered the necessary components for the Siedle Vario system:
- Siedle BNG650-0DE bus power supply
- Siedle TÖ618-+E door opener
- Siedle BTC850-02W bus telephone Comfort
- Siedle BTM650-02W bus button module with 2 buttons
- Siedle BTLM650-04W bus door speaker
- Siedle ZDS601-0 theft protection
- Siedle KR611-2/1-0W combination frame
- Siedle VA/GU512-0 Vario adapter
- Siedle MR611-2/1-0 mounting frame
- Siedle GU611-2/1-0 flush-mounted housing

Am I missing any components? Is any of these unnecessary, for example the Vario adapter?

How complex is the installation? The manual for the BNG650 makes it seem quite straightforward.

Which cables should I run, even if I might want additional functions later?

Thanks for any help and suggestions

Hello, why make it so complicated and expensive? Use an IP video system or an Elcom system. Siedle is quite pricey and not as simple as described in the technical manual. You only need the Vario if you actually have the wrong flush-mounted box. I would go with IP, which is also flexible for forwarding calls and recording video when the doorbell rings.
