Heinrich Ott26 Jan 2018 13:32Hello,
we had a shower tray installed with anti-slip sections. In these areas, there are quite large "chunks" embedded that look like adhesive remnants from foam sealant or similar. However, they are firmly baked in and covered with a coating.
Otherwise, there are small grains within this coating, but in many places, there are these bumps of about 1–1.5cm (0.4–0.6 inches). It looks really bad. There is no doubt that this is a manufacturing defect. But what can we do? Everything is already installed and tiled. Due to time pressure, an inspection was not possible in time. The installer should have noticed it...
So what now? Remove everything? Who pays for what?
Has anyone experienced the same problem?
Thank you and best regards
