HomerJSimpson30 Jan 2024 18:54Hello professionals. We have an 80x80 cm (31.5x31.5 inches) shower in the corner of our guest bathroom and still need to install a shower enclosure.
However, we are unsure which option to choose.
Option 1: Folding doors that open completely
Option 2: Only a corner opening (hinged or sliding door)
Option 3: An enclosure that swings outward
What experiences have you had?
We appreciate any tips.
Best regards

Sliding doors are inconvenient—difficult to clean and prone to breaking.
Folding doors often have sealing issues.
In a small bathroom, I would choose hinged doors that open both ways on both sides, or if the space is larger and brighter, a fixed panel on one side and a door that opens on the other.

We have double-action doors that can open both inward and outward. It’s easy to get in and out, but you can also turn them inward to dry. This way, they don’t take up space or get in the way. If space is limited, this would be my preferred solution—exactly what Tolentino already suggested.
