Yesterday, I started wondering whether it is a good idea to leave a shell structure made of Ytong exposed to the weather without protection...

Will I be able to get the house dry within a reasonable time?

That is completely normal.

My house and 10 others in the development experienced heavy rainstorms for days, but no one seemed to care.

Rule of thumb: (which probably isn't accurate anyway, but whatever)

the drying time should be as long as the period it was exposed to moisture.

That's just the risk of building the shell during winter. If you're lucky, cold and dry weeks will still come, which are perfect for drying out.
