Hello everyone,

We moved into our new house 4 months ago.
The plumber installed all the water and wastewater pipes for us.

About 4 weeks after moving in, we noticed that the wastewater pipe is leaking — water is running down the basement wall when the sink or toilet is used.

After back and forth with our plumber, the problem could not be fixed.

He claims that we somehow damaged the wastewater pipes after he installed them.
We say that is impossible (and we don’t even know how that would have happened).

So my question is: Who has to prove who is responsible? Us or the plumber under warranty?

Thank you very much for your feedback!

Good evening,

Under which terms was the contract concluded? VOB or the Building Code?

Best regards, Bauexperte

I believe it is the building code. We are private individuals. The installer is a regular company.

Hello

What does the damage look like?
What has been identified?

Please check your invoice; "believing" won't get us anywhere ;-)

Unfortunately, there is no information about this on the invoice.
