Good morning,
We are currently building a semi-detached house and are considering which type of terrace partition to choose.
As far as I know, the maximum height is limited to 1.80 m (5 ft 11 in), although I have also seen some information online mentioning 2.0 m (6 ft 7 in). We would like a partition that provides privacy but also helps reduce noise to some extent. It would be a pity to constantly overhear conversations from the neighbors (as nice as they are). For that reason, I find those thin wooden panels, some of which have gaps or possibly a space at the bottom, rather unsuitable.
Do you have any visually appealing ideas that also meet these requirements?
Best regards & thanks!

an acquaintance of ours had slate palisades installed. They are expensive, and we are not sure if they help reduce noise or sound.
