ᐅ Sealing the roof of a detached garage

Hello everyone.

I have a new prefabricated garage. While installing the electric garage door opener, I accidentally drilled a bit too deep in one spot and slightly damaged the roof membrane. Naturally, water is leaking through the hole despite the screw in it. Can I simply weld a large piece of roofing felt over it, or what is the best way to seal this hole?

With boat builder’s putty. MS polymer from a cartridge. Pantera, Saba Tack, Tika, Ramsauer are brand names. The cheapest option is sufficient. It is not required to be seawater-resistant underwater.
