Hello,

I have heard that there is a way to paint facing bricks with an invisible coating to seal them. This is supposed to prevent the joints from crumbling over time and stop the bricks from developing unsightly efflorescence and discoloration.

Does anyone have experience with this? What can be done?

Hi builder,

Mantafan is right. You can treat your clinker bricks with a mix of 50% fir resin and 50% turpentine. I have used this mixture myself and can say that they still look very nice today. I apply this treatment to my clinker bricks once a year, and they stay clean and attractive.
