Good evening everyone,
A local kitchen studio is currently promoting a special offer where the Schüller C2 and X2 models are priced per meter.
We are planning an island kitchen with a 2.70m x 1.20m (8.9ft x 3.9ft) island and a 4.70m (15.4ft) cabinet wall. That makes a total of 7.4m (24.3ft) kitchen length. The offered price is €1,341 per meter for the laminate front and €1,694 per meter for the glass front. The offer includes all cabinet types available in the series, as well as delivery and installation, plus a 4cm (1.6in) granite countertop.
Laminate front: €9,923.40
Glass front: €12,535.60
We are leaning towards the glass option. What do you think about these prices?

Thanks in advance for the feedback. From what I understand from your comments, the price is reasonable. We have secured the terms and will plan everything in detail in 3 weeks. It should be noted that the terms are linked to a photoshoot of the completed kitchen as well as a short evaluation form. That is completely fine with us.

I bet you serious photos of your kitchen will never be taken. Some acquaintances of ours saw in the current brochure that photos are actually being taken.

Mastermind117 Feb 2018 10:32I’m curious. I’m always quite skeptical about things like this.
At a trade fair, I definitely wouldn’t buy anything large (like a kitchen).
For a kitchen, I would always visit one or two smaller furniture stores and/or a carpenter who also installs kitchens.
We have a small furniture store that we recommend to all friends and family for home and kitchen furnishings.
The price-to-performance ratio has always been excellent there.
A nearby large furniture store was always more expensive and provided worse customer service.
And that’s exactly where you often see these shady promotions (mostly on Sundays) when it’s hard to compare... I wonder why.

I would definitely not buy anything major (like a kitchen) at a trade fair.

We have a small furniture store that we recommend to all friends and relatives for home and kitchen fittings.
The price-performance ratio has always been great so far.
A large furniture store nearby was always more expensive and offered worse customer advice.
And that’s exactly where you often find these questionable promotions (mostly on Sundays) when comparison is difficult... Why do you think that is?
The promotion is from a local kitchen studio with an excellent reputation. I was also very skeptical, so I made sure to get everything in writing. That was no problem.
