Hello everyone,

Yesterday, I was shocked to find out that the roof tiles do not extend over the gutter.
Is this such a significant defect that I can request a complete re-roofing? I would prefer not to have the gap closed only with a metal flashing. That would be a visual disaster, especially when directly compared to the neighbor’s roof.

Roof edge construction: wooden beam, brown roof tiles, metal pipe, and black adhesive tape.

Really poor workmanship, but why can you see wood there?

Oh dear!
Aren’t the gutters at least soldered or bonded with PU adhesive and riveted? Instead, they are just connected with duct tape?!

The drip edge is completely missing as well!!

Well, it can’t basically stay like this. Immediate action is required there...

Yes, work is still ongoing on the gutters. It simply isn’t finished yet (hopefully). However, I have no idea why there is tape inside them.

The urgent issue is the roof tiles, as they cannot be easily fixed at short notice.

The roof is not finished yet. The side that connects to the neighbor’s house has not been started.
