Dear Forum Members,
I started building our house about 4–5 months ago (almost turnkey, solid construction with 42.5 cm (17 inches) exterior walls, type townhouse). Our own work includes, among other things, insulating the roof.
To meet all energy-saving regulations, two layers of 10 cm (4 inches) polystyrene insulation will be installed, followed by a protective screed layer about 3–4 cm (1–1.5 inches) thick.
I have read several times that a vapor barrier is not necessary on a precast concrete deck.
What is your experience or knowledge on this?
