Hello,
we want to replace a shower enclosure but are not yet completely sure what would be best for our space and needs. Therefore, we do not want to spend more than €1500 (about $1600). Of course, we have visited several bathroom showrooms and looked at what felt like 100 models, even standing inside them to test.
Our ideas ranged from walk-in showers to quadrant enclosures and corner entry models with various shower trays. In the end, we decided on a quadrant enclosure measuring 90x90cm (35x35 inches). We chose an affordable model from the company basano, type Romallo.
The problem is a sloped ceiling. The left side panel of the quadrant shower needs to be angled at about 45 degrees along the entire width of 33cm (13 inches) to fit properly.
Now I have the idea of replacing this side panel with a plastic panel, such as plexiglass. Of course, it would need to be thick enough.
Would this be feasible, and how thick should the plexiglass be?
Thanks in advance
