ᐅ Question about UNDERVERK range hood in recirculation mode

I am currently installing an under-cabinet range hood for recirculating operation. Do I understand correctly that the flap in the picture needs to be removed?

Hello, that's right, in recirculation mode no air can be pushed in from outside, and the flap would only further reduce the airflow.
