Question for those who have already built: Both plasterers offer to finish walls and ceilings to Q2 and then Q3 standards. Now, in the first painterâs quote: priming + wallpapering with fleece, then painting white. The second painter: âjustâ painting white. Is it really possible to do without fleece? Are there paints that can handle this? Has anyone done it this way? Thanks for any experiences and tips!
You can also paint stones without plaster. The paint adheres well to that 🙂
Since youâre asking and itâs unfamiliar to you, I doubt you would like that, so I would recommend using fleece wallpaper instead, which also gives you a smooth wall rather than just an approximately smooth one.
Best regards, Yvonne

For those recommending fleece.
Is Q3 still advisable, or is Q2 sufficient? I always think that the fleece is not very thick and will hardly be able to mask anything.

Caspar202022 May 2017 09:23Q2, Quality Level 2: This refers to skim-coated plasters of standard quality, where no specific requirements are made for the visual appearance. It includes the basic filling according to Q1, followed by additional filling of the joint areas. So, for textured wallpaper (Raufaser), Q2 is sufficient, but for fleece wallpaper or direct painting with a visually satisfactory result, you would need Q3 or Q4.
