ᐅ Purchasing the land from the future construction company?

Since I am new here, I’m not sure if my question is in the right section. If not, please feel free to move it.

I have found a nice building plot. Now, I read online in the details that I am tied to the construction company that is selling the plot.

Is this normal, or is it better to avoid this?

As I mentioned in my introduction, we have no possibility to do any work ourselves. In this case, would it perhaps be better to use the same construction company?

I would be very grateful for your help, as it would let us know whether we can continue with the planning.

This can have both advantages and disadvantages..... the seriousness and the overall package are what really matter.
It’s definitely not an isolated case; in Berlin (where we are currently building for a general contractor) this is quite common. The provider earns money from the site development and passes the savings on..... whether all of them are this fair, I don’t know.
Still, nobody is going to give you anything for free.
