Hello everyone,
Please see the pictures. The reveals of the window openings need to be prepared and smoothed out before installation so the window installer can properly seal everything. The openings are now quite large in some places... unfortunately, a solid window sill had to be removed, and we slightly enlarged the openings at the bottom.
Two questions regarding this: What material is best suited to fill the openings? Would simply applying plaster be enough?
In the second picture, you can see the cavity wall construction. According to the window installer, I should simply install a rigid foam insulation board (e.g., Styrofoam) as a finish around the window. I plan to prepare an adhesive bed and stick the board onto the masonry. Do you see any issues with this approach?
