ᐅ Experiences with Installing Photovoltaic Panels on Different Roof Orientations?

SkyfireHello everyone,
I have a question again.
We are planning a new build, and the floor plan we really like has the roof oriented southeast/northwest. This means that from sunrise until around noon/early afternoon, one side of the roof gets sunlight, and from noon until sunset, the other side of the roof receives sunlight.
Without going into complicated calculations,
which side would generate more energy over the course of the year, or would investing in photovoltaic panels be worthwhile at all with this orientation?
Thank you very much.
Best regards,
Sky
