Maybe this will help someone.
Since our electricity provider (Elektra Baselland) currently supports photovoltaic systems with direct payments (systems up to 5 kW), we researched the prices thoroughly.
Local offers cost around 4,700 to 5,200 CHF per kW (+ electrician for registration and inverter installation) + scaffolding.
This means that just for the solar modules, installation materials, and inverter, prices range from approximately 19,000 to 22,000 CHF.
We have now imported the complete system from Germany for 7,800.00 CHF.
In addition, VAT and customs duty of 10%.
We picked up the system ourselves near the border with a VW LT 35 without any issues.
Key details: Installation on a tiled roof. Monocrystalline modules with 205 W, 25-year performance guarantee, certified for high wind and snow loads.
Also included are surge protection and a feed-in evaluation device (which could be omitted).

With the support from EBL, our system pays off very quickly.

Our tip: About 30% savings compared to Swiss prices are possible, but you have to be prepared to go through multiple offers.

Enjoy :-)

The motto "being cheap is cool" does not always pay off. There are reasonable prices for photovoltaic components even in Switzerland. Yes, Swiss wages may be somewhat higher than abroad, but after all, you also enjoy Swiss quality of life...

This is not about being cheap. I don’t understand why I should pay 50% more for the same module that a wholesaler sells at the same price in Germany and Switzerland.

Furthermore, the labor costs for a German craftsman working in Switzerland are effectively higher than those for a Swiss craftsman. Why? Because the law requires foreign companies to pay minimum wages, plus there are social security contributions in their home country, a deposit of 20,000 euros, and some other details. So what justifies a price of over 5,300 CHF per installed kW compared to 2,800 CHF? I am also willing to pay a local company a bit more, but within a reasonable range, and not just because the demand in this region is rising sharply due to subsidies, causing prices to double.

Hello,

Thank you for the information. I am also considering purchasing a system like this in Germany. It is not about being cheap, but rather that a significant amount of money is involved. I can then use that money elsewhere, and products from Switzerland also come into consideration.

That is quite a significant price difference between the Swiss and German modules. We will definitely look into this further, as it makes much more financial sense.

Thank you very much for your help.

It may be cheaper in Germany than here. However, I still chose a local provider. It was a bit more expensive, but I have the service right at my doorstep. After all, I benefit from my own salary here with us.
