Hello

I am currently building a small cabin and have a temporary valve for the water supply on my property. There is a main valve on the street (opened by the city), and then my valve with a tap comes after that.
It is a 3/4 inch plastic pipe.
The temperature is already around 0°C (32°F), and I assume the city will have to close the valve on the street. Otherwise, there will still be water in the pipe, right? Or is there a better solution, since I still need water for some concrete work?

Thank you.

I simply wrapped our building water connection generously in mineral wool. As long as the temperature doesn’t stay below -10°C (14°F) for several days, this works fine.
