ᐅ Our topping-out ceremony is coming up; looking for planning tips

The roof structure of our single-family house will be built soon, most likely on May 30th or 31st.
Unfortunately, we won’t be available the following Friday or weekend, so we are planning a topping-out ceremony on Friday, June 10th.
We have never attended a topping-out ceremony before and do not yet live on site, so we don’t know the neighbors. Maybe you can give us some tips on who to invite and what we could offer, etc.
When does a topping-out ceremony usually start? I imagine the construction workers might want to leave quickly before the weekend, but neighbors and friends probably won’t get off work until around 4 pm.
How have you handled this? Is the topping-out wreath usually made by hand or purchased?
