Hello everyone,

We are currently in the final phase of our semi-detached house construction, and now the tiler is finally starting work. We have received a quote for the “additional costs,” but first, here is what is included.

Toilet - tiled
Bathroom - tiled

This is included as standard with no extra cost. However, we have made a few changes and wanted to ask what you think about the prices. Unfortunately, we are not very familiar with this and have no comparison offers, as the tiling work must be done by the site manager’s own tiler for warranty reasons.

Item 1: Since we have a double vanity instead of a single sink plus a laundry chute in the bathroom, he wants to charge extra for the additional tile cuts (extra: 160€)
Item 2: Incorporating floor tiles into the walls – approx. 13m² (extra: 600€)
Item 3: Creating a walk-in shower – tiling 110cm x 90cm (43 inches x 35 inches) plus creating slope (without drain, without tiles) (extra: 1000€)
Item 4: Tiling the ground floor (without tiles) including installing baseboards with miter cuts (40€ per m²)
Item 5: Stainless steel Jolly profile (straight) per 2.5m strip plus installation (extra 56€ per strip)

All prices are net amounts.

Thank you very much!

Best regards,

Then I must have a very affordable tiler. I pay him €35.40 per square meter of tile, including waterproofing in the bathrooms. On the walls, I have 58x58cm (23x23 inches) porcelain stoneware, and on the floor, 80x80cm (31x31 inches).
Tile price €65 per square meter (imported from Italy).
