LacosHello everyone,
We plan to have the patio paved this month. Work could start quickly, meaning from next week onwards – so I would appreciate a prompt response from you.
We have a detached house with a wall structure made of calcium silicate bricks, mineral wool insulation, an air cavity, and brick veneer. The builder has already applied a black thick coating around the windows and patio doors.
Now I’m wondering if anything else should be done in addition. Is a dimpled membrane necessary, or should this thick coating be applied up to the height of the paved surface everywhere?
The landscaper who came by said it’s not necessary. He also mentioned he would create a slope towards the garden to ensure rainwater drains away.
What do you experts think?
Best regards and many thanks,
Lacos
