Hello everyone,
We are almost finished with our building project.
The electricity meter has been installed, and now we have received a letter from an electricity provider stating that they are our default supplier.
The letter lists various prices per kWh but does not clearly show the exact rate.
I have read that electricity from the default supplier is usually the most expensive.
How can I find a cheaper electricity provider?
Additionally, we have two electricity meters because of the heat pump.
Do we need a separate contract for this, since the electricity for the heat pump is supposed to be cheaper than household electricity?
The issue with the default supplier concerns postal code 54636.
Can you help me?
Thank you.

Just an idea: for those who want to go all out, use contracts with monthly cancellation options and subsidize them with the €30 (about $32) bonus from Verivox across the board... It works well.
I have secured myself with this up to April, May is in progress. The previous months also went smoothly, and the money came in. For both the apartment and the construction site power supply. By the way, Verivox offered €40 (about $43) per switch until the end of December.

I've covered myself with it until April so far, May is in progress. And the past months also went smoothly and money came in. Each time for the apartment and on the construction site for the construction power supply. By the way, Verivox had 40€ per switch until the end of December. I do this once a year with my gas contract, which only costs 7.50€ (about $8.30) installment, and sometimes I already feel a bit bad about it :P
I am familiar with this commission hopping, which is taken to an extreme in certain communities.
I would be curious to see what the credit score looks like for these people. With 12 entries per year just from short-term electricity contracts, the algorithm must produce some interesting results.
