Hello gate community,
After much consideration, we have decided to source and install the gate ourselves. We have been looking more closely at Hörmann gates. During this process, we repeatedly come across the promotional model "Renomatic," which seems to offer the same features as the "LPU42," but at about 30-40% lower price. Despite researching, I haven’t been able to identify the exact differences. The Renomatic seller can’t give a clear answer (apparently the interior color of the Renomatic is only available in silver), the building material supplier won’t or can’t explain since they only sell the LPU42, and the manufacturer directs me back to the specialist dealers. Great.
So, my question to the group: who owns a Renomatic or LPU42, or has been in a similar situation and knows more today?
Our gate should have an order size of 3000 x 2250 mm (118 x 89 inches), the Woodgrain surface in RAL 7016, and the ProMatic Series 4 motor. The FS10 drive rail and the frame package. With these specs, there are many offers online with a gate thickness of 42 mm (1.65 inches), but prices vary widely between the LPU42 (from $2,000) and the Renomatic (around $1,400). Both gates can be obtained with exactly these features and the associated technical data.
Our question is: where does the price difference come from if the data, technology, and construction are actually identical?

I can do that, but is there something specific you are interested in?
In the current condition, I don’t see any technical differences except for the color. They were delivered with the same scope of delivery/accessories and have otherwise identical technical specifications, as far as I could tell. It would be interesting, among other things, to know whether the tracks and rollers are identical or if there are any "qualitative" differences beyond the visual ones.
