Hello,
A few years ago, we visited Morocco and enjoyed some wonderful mint tea there. Now I would like to grow mint here as well. Does anyone know this variety and have experience with it?

Thanks for the tips

Hi,

I’m sure the mint will also grow well here, but you should make sure to overwinter it in the basement because I’m not sure if it would survive the winter outside here.

Tea with fresh mint is said to be good for the liver. So after heavy alcohol consumption, mint tea works wonders. I have tried it myself.

No, just bring it in during winter.

Better to start in spring and, until then, rely on used herbs from the Arabic shop if you have one nearby.

The mint is also sold as "Moroccan mint" and is said to be frost-resistant. However, I haven’t tried it myself yet...

If you prepare Moroccan or the Arabic style NOT the commercially common one, I can tell you it will be a great delight. Simply add the mint to a glass of boiled water and let it steep. It tastes wonderfully delicious! Probably the best mint tea you can find.
