Hello everyone!

We still need to specify to the electrician which meter cabinet we want. Of course, they also need to know how many meter slots are required.
Our electricity provider advised us to plan for 4 slots to be future-proof.
We will have a heat pump (which we intend to operate without a separate meter), photovoltaic is being prepared, and at the moment, an electric car is not planned. However, we are having power installed at one spot in the garage in case it becomes necessary later.

Is it really necessary to plan for 4 slots? How have you handled this?

1300? That’s incredible! Well, then we will really wait for now!
I will mention the price as soon as I have it!

No idea, maybe just money-making,
I was quite shocked as well.

So the cabinet itself is not the expensive part. An electrical meter cabinet for 4 single-phase meters, including internal fittings, costs about 750€ (for example, a Hager zb32s for 4 single-phase meters). Of course, someone still has to install it. But everything is included inside (except for the main switch and such, which are only needed for locations where meters are actually installed).

I think mine just wants to make a profit.
As I said, an electrical meter box for two meters costs 1,280 euros, and that price already excludes the standard box.

And how does this work with smart grid meters? Do you need to have them already?

So, I have the new offer here.
Meter cabinet ZB34ES, 2 meter slots, field busbar connector, electronic meter connection cassette, distribution panel ZU37VT5APZ2, distribution panel ZU37KS for a total gross price of 1250 EUR.
However, I do not currently have the price for the originally offered cabinet.
As I understand it, there is space for 4 meters, but with this configuration it is equipped only for 2 meters? I need to review the old offer this evening, where a cabinet was offered that would only accommodate 2 meters!
