Hello everyone,
yesterday the concrete ceiling of our basement was poured. The site supervisor called me around 8 p.m. and told me to start wetting the slab. I drove to the construction site for about 30 minutes and applied plenty of water. This morning, I was back to wet the surface and noticed lots of small cracks, but none were deep.
A bit of research online suggests this might be due to the concrete curing too quickly because of the temperature. We had 28°C (82°F) yesterday. The site supervisor has been informed and will check it on Monday.

I’m just wondering how serious these cracks might be.

Get your own expert advice. If the concrete is not properly cured (watering and covering with plastic sheeting), it can lead to serious problems.

So: hire a qualified expert! The cost is peanuts compared to the total construction budget.
