Hello,
I’m considering using terrazzo instead of tiles. The main reason is that I find it visually appealing, and cleaning without grout lines should be somewhat easier. I’m aware of other pros and cons.
I would like to have it installed in the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom, either by myself or by professionals.
So my question is whether it’s even possible to do it yourself or if it’s a task that a layperson can’t realistically manage. My biggest concern is that the floor might not end up perfectly level due to lack of experience. And if the floor is “ruined,” does that mean you’d have to use a jackhammer to remove the botched work? Or would it just require many extra hours of sanding? In this case, would it be better to definitely avoid DIY? Is there anyone here who has dared to do it themselves and could share their experiences?
Thanks!
