Sunny_Girl18 Jul 2021 00:19Hello,
we own a Schwörer house and want to buy the filters for the ventilation system in roll form to cut and sew them ourselves. However, I’m a bit confused because the required filters come with different specifications. I originally thought that a G3 filter is simply a G3 filter. But now I’ve noticed, for example, that G3 filters have different ISO Coarse ratings, and I don’t really understand what that means.
Is it enough to pay attention only to the classifications G2, G3, and G5, or do I also need to consider other things like the ISO Coarse rating? I would really appreciate it if someone could help me because I’m not exactly sure what to look for when buying to avoid damaging the system. Many thanks in advance.
Our original filters are as follows:
- G2 as round exhaust filter (with ISO Coarse 30%)
- G3 pocket filter for the intake hood (ISO Coarse 45%)
- G5 exhaust filter in the system (ISO Coarse 50%)
Best regards
Sunny

Sunny_Girl18 Jul 2021 14:00Thank you for the information. I was just surprised to see Iso Coarse 30% listed once and 45% on G3 filters another time. Also, that there are materials with different airflow velocities. None of this is familiar to me.

Does anyone in your household have allergies, or do you live in an area with polluted air (such as near a highway, a factory with heavy emissions, or areas with strong pollen from blooming fields)?
We use an F7 filter for the supply air because we are surrounded by a lot of forest, pasture, and meadows, and my wife has allergies. The filter is vacuumed every three months and replaced once a year.
