I have a “dead corner” in my kitchen that is about 18 cm wide (7 inches). Right now, it’s being used as a catch-all for things I don’t need at the moment (brooms, mops, reusable shopping bags, etc.). I would like to a) make better use of the space and b) make it look a bit nicer. Ideally, something like a two-tier shelf at the bottom with a hook rail or something similar above. The problem is that, because of the narrow width, I can’t fit my drill in there. I also considered attaching a hook rail to the adjacent cabinet, but that didn’t feel like a complete solution to me.

I’m not very creative when it comes to this – do you have any ideas on how to make good use of this corner?

Thanks!

Best regards, Marius

I think this fits perfectly into your niche.. simply two stacked on top of each other.. called a "niche shelf with casters."

There are angled drill bits or screwdriver attachments designed for tight spaces like these.

Pulling out cabinets for front installation is not an option?

Wine racks are available in 15cm (6 inches) sizes. Hook rails are also not very attractive.
