Hello everyone,

with Team Massivhaus, some house types have the attic floor built using lightweight construction, for example, the family house.

What do you think about that? Many other companies that build solid houses also construct the attic floor with solid building methods. What are the advantages and disadvantages?

The price is probably somewhat lower than with other solid house builders for this reason as well.

Has anyone gained experience? How exactly is the lightweight construction implemented? Are OSB panels installed in addition to the gypsum boards, so that things can be securely fixed?

Many thanks and best regards

Sorry, I was too tired last night and now I’m too lazy to link to where I already wrote about this topic. In any case, it is not a matter of inferior quality, but purely procedural (and economic – though not in terms of saving on materials) reasons that nowadays interior walls in attics are often built with lightweight construction. Aerated concrete is also very well suited for this. By the way, Artur Fischer not only invented the clip-on flash but also developed a whole range of anchors, so hanging cabinets on hollow walls would not be a real problem.

You could have edited your post within the first 10 minutes – that’s why I immediately pointed out your external link. Unfortunately, that didn’t have the hoped-for effect (that you would see it in time) and instead only earned a like from @Flocko1 (which was nice, but not the point, so I deleted the note after your editing time expired).
