ᐅ Leveling the plot yourself?

Hello. Has anyone leveled their own plot or done earthworks / earthmoving? Is a mini excavator sufficient for that? Which bucket or attachment should be rented? We have a slight slope.

Well, you can forget about a mini excavator. I wouldn’t start with anything under 10 tons. Otherwise, a skip container is enough. You can get one provided by the rental company. But I doubt it’s worth leveling the ground if you do it yourself. It’s best to get some quotes first. Besides needing an excavator, you also require a laser level and a compactor. You can add everything up, including delivery costs, and then compare. I did it myself too. Unfortunately, it was not cost-effective at all.
