Hello everyone.

We are currently in the middle of planning our new house. We intend to install a laundry chute so that laundry can be dropped directly from the bathroom into the utility room below.
I wanted to ask if anyone has something similar and how they installed it. There are various systems available online, but they tend to be quite expensive.

We are also planning a laundry chute from the bathroom to the utility room below. Because of this, I have often searched for information on the topic. These ready-made solutions are very expensive. I have frequently read that a 250mm (10 inch) PVC drainage pipe is sufficient. I believe doing it yourself can save a significant amount of money.

Our builder, with whom we have already discussed this, also said that it is mainly a matter of proper planning. In theory, you only need a pipe that must be secured and a suitable, visually appealing cover for it. So far, I have unfortunately not come across a nice cover 😕
